Yakiniku Miyabi
A top spot I didn’t want to miss dining at is Yakiniku Miyabi in Roppongi. I’ve been before and have been dreaming about this meal from the moment we booked our Japan trip.
They have set courses of A5 wagyu starting from $40. We got the 12-course meal ($66), and by the end, we were completely stuffed. The set course meal comes with various cuts ranging from leanest to fattiest. You cook the meat yourselves, and it’s suggested that you start with the leaner cuts and move your way up. Each piece may seem small, but due to how fatty the meat is, a little goes a long way. Their set menu also comes with rice, salad, and ice cream. The meat quality is great, and if there is a specific cut that you like, you can always order it a la carte.
The price is fluctuating due to the exchange rate, so you might be paying more than what we paid for (~$66) but regardless this is still a great price for what you get. We arrived right before opening, so we got away with not having a reservation, but if you’re planning your trip early enough, we definitely recommend you give them a call to make one.
